Ni Hao, Friends! I’m Aila Lin.
I’m the creator and founder of Family Style, an idea that quietly took shape during COVID-19 and finally came to life in 2023.
I’ve always believed that good food doesn’t have to be expensive or complicated. Some of the best meals I’ve ever had weren’t in restaurants, but at home, like my grandma’s Pork & Egg noodle soup, waiting for me every time I stepped off a long flight when visiting back China. I come from a family of incredible home cooks, and Family Style is my way of preserving and sharing those Chinese family recipes with you—so you can bring that same warmth into your own kitchen.
I was born in Wenzhou China, raised in Greece, and now lives in Seattle WA (Actively making plans to move to Omaha, NE where my husband grew up). Most of the days you can find me in the kitchen creating new recipes, or Seattle Public Library reading through new and old recipe books to find inspirations.
